External Trigger Generator
Application Scope
Purpose of the time stamp system is the absolute time for cross-SIB-reference of events via time code registers on the IRIG-B reader card. In addition the relative time synchronization of the subsystems is achieved via an external HW trigger signal. For SW internal purpose an interrupt source on the VME bus is required for performance purpose.
The time stamp system is based on the IRIG-B reader card SR1611 or equivalent. The time code reader supplies the absolute time via VME accessible registers. The ADS can read the absolute time and store this information for further time stamping of SIB events.
The relative synchronization of the AFDX®, CAN, A429 and other modules an external HW trigger signal is used. To guarantee defined trigger signal conditions for various system configurations a trigger signal amplifier and 1000:1 frequency divider is used.
For SW system performance a programmable VME interrupt source is available on the SR1611.
Feature Highlights
- Trigger signal distribution with ps range HW accuracy
- Synchronization of multiple SIB subsystems
- Distribution and amplification of trigger signals
- 1000:1 frequency divider to supply 1kHz and 1Hz trigger signals
