Company Profile

TechSAT, located in Poing near Munich, was founded in 1987. Today it ranks among the market leaders in the development and production of realtime systems for the simulation, integration, validation, testing, analysis, and maintenance of electronic systems in the aerospace sector.

The workforce of around 100 people primarily consists of qualified systems engineers, computer scientists, and electrical engineers. The company also has sales and maintenance offices in Hamburg, Frankfurt, and Seattle (USA).

TechSAT provides a wide range of off-the-shelf hardware and software solutions for modular configuration in accordance with customer requirements.Major product lines include avionics bus testers and simulators, intelligent I/O interface cards for the major avionics bus standards (ARINC 664/AFDX, CAN, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553), data loader systems (ARINC 615A / 615-3/4), and protocol simulations for various aircraft types.

Next to product business, systems engineering constitutes the most important corporate pillar. The flagship product and driver of technology in this regard is our tried-and-tested, second-generation Avionics Development System Integration Bench (ADS2-SIB) – a modular and extremely flexible integrated software and hardware platform for the development and integration of electronic control systems.

It was TechSAT that supplied the bulk of the test units for integration of the wide-bodied Airbus A380 to Airbus Deutschland. A range of units was also delivered to Airbus component suppliers such as Diehl Avionik, Nord-Micro and Parker Hannifin (USA). Other ADS2-based test stations were purchased by MTU for its Eurofighter engine controller development. EADS Ulm also opted for TechSAT´s established ADS2 SIB technology to assist in developing and integrating the EU military transport aircraft A400M.

In 2009 TechSAT was assigned by Airbus Germany to provide the complete test facilities for the A350 cabin integration and verification.

TechSAT has also succeeded in entering the significant Asian market, thanks to cooperative ventures with partners in China and South Korea.
